Working for many years in women’s magazines has given me a sound knowledge of most aspects of food and the media, and I’ve also enjoyed eating my way around the world in the name of food research. I’ve tackled most types of food in my time, but I’m at my best with fresh, unfussy food and healthy home cooking. Since becoming freelance, my work has been hugely varied and constantly challenging, and that’s the way I like it. Recent projects include writing books on juices and baking, producing features for a supermarket magazine, running cooking holidays in France, food styling for a pasta book, working as a consultant on a tv eco-series, reviewing restaurants for a top UK guide, and advising on new product development for a sauce producer.
